Overstock Control System

The Overstock Control System will allow the analysis of a specific product line to determine the parts and the quantities that are stocked in excess of the sales demand for those parts.
This analysis can be based on a Forecasting method, or the Stocking Level. A suggested overstock worksheet is printed which will advise the Purchasing Agent which parts should be returned to the supplier. This report will contain enough information to allow the Purchasing Agent to agree or disagree with the overstock analysis. After reviewing and adjusting the worksheet on the computer, the Purchasing Agent can then proceed with the return by printing a Picking Ticket, which will be used for pulling the specific overstocked parts from the shelf, and shipping the goods back to the supplier. As this process is being performed, the Quantity-on-Hand for these parts is being reduced automatically within the system, while an activity transaction is added to a History file for later recall.
